She has a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry and manages operations of the Vels conglomerate comprising 36 institutions, 30000 students and 6000 staff in India, Singapore and UK. Her core competencies include Negotiation, Sales, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Team Building, Project Management and Human Resource Management. Her diverse interests include education, health care, investments, movie production, hospitality and real estate.

She is active socially and keeps social issues very close to her heart. She has been chosen as the Pink Ambassador by India Turns Pink, an organisation that creates awareness of Breast cancer and mitigates ways to fight it for women of all ages. With her deep rooted passion for sports and games, Preethaa has owed to help underprivileged kids through various sports initiatives, from donating cricketing kits to talented and budding cricketers, and identifying talented football players by conducting exclusive tournaments at the grass roots level and providing them with education and sports scholarships.
