Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) was established as a Deemed University by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2008. Their multi-disciplinary campuses are situated across India, Singapore, London, and beyond. They offer courses ranging from Engineering and Life Sciences to Aviation and Language studies. In total, they have 48 Undergraduate programs, 40 Postgraduate programs and 10 Diploma and Certificate programs. VISTAS also became the first private sector institution to offer Maritime and Nautical Science courses in India. Dr. Ganesh even bought and installed a real ship on campus along with a full mission bridge simulator to ensure students got hands-on experience.

Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh introduced the Kindle Kids International curriculum in 2019 and it is now used in schools across India and Singapore. All the schools under Vels Group offer curriculums from CBSE, CISCE and Cambridge International. We are always proud to announce that Vels Group is home to classes from Pre-Kindergarten to PhD.

When Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh started Vels College of Pharmacy in 1992, he started it with the aim to make education more accessible to students across social and cultural backgrounds, especially to first generation learners and students from underprivileged communities. True to his initial objective, our campuses are inclusive and house students from all over India and the world. We also donate regularly to charities and funds to help people affected by natural disasters and other problems. We also offer Annual Scholarship and Fee concessions to deserving students. Our philanthropic efforts also stretch to the other fields. During the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown, Dr. Ganesh donated 500 bags of rice and dhal to help struggling actors.

Our founder shares Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s dream of making India “a knowledge-power by 2020”. This vision of our late president is still a central idea to what drives us to deliver more quality and accessible education to the students of India and beyond. We also extend this desire for quality services to all our other endeavours.
